No government affiliation; free official resources
Court St. Legal, SurplusTracker California, and GetSurplusFunds-CA are not government agencies and are not affiliated with any court, county, trustee, the California State Controller, or another public office. Fees and costs
The recovery fee is 25%–35%, depending on factors particular to each case. A $1,500 amount for Court Filing & Costs & Fees, Case Research Costs & Fees, Skip Tracing Costs & Fees, and Notary Costs & Fees is forwarded to the end of the case and payable after surplus funds are released to the attorneys’ trust account. The signed engagement agreement controls, and applicable law and professional rules govern client funds and trust-account handling.
No guarantees; past results
Every matter is different. No statement, example, testimonial, case description, fee illustration, or past result guarantees or predicts an outcome. Eligibility, priority, documents, court requirements, available funds, distribution, and timing depend on the facts and governing law.
Division and product disclosures
SurplusTracker California provides research intelligence and tools; users must independently verify records and comply with privacy, outreach, licensing, and professional rules. GetSurplusFunds-CA provides education, eBooks, templates, marketing materials, and training; it does not confer a license or authorize the practice of law. California HOA Foreclosure Alerts and California Statewide Bankruptcy Dismissal Alerts provide California-only research alerts derived from public-record events. An HOA foreclosure record or bankruptcy dismissal event is only a research lead and does not prove that surplus funds exist, that a foreclosure will occur, that a person is eligible, or that any recovery is available. National bankruptcy coverage is not currently included.
Referral and affiliate disclosure
A referral is an introduction only. No compensation, fee share, partnership, or agency relationship is created without a separate written agreement. Attorney referral or fee-sharing arrangements, when any, are subject to applicable professional-responsibility rules and required client disclosures or consent.
